Vitale Barberis Canonico suiting from Italy, bought directly from the company — price on request.
Vitale Barberis Canonico suiting, by the metre in New Delhi. Vitale Barberis Canonico describes itself as one of the oldest woollen mills in the world, run by one family since 1663, with its mills at Pratrivero and Pray in the Biellese hills of Piedmont. We keep 14 of its Super 110s worsted suitings — stripes, glen checks, windowpanes, herringbones and plains — every one bought directly from the company and sold here by the metre.
Two reasons, and they are the same two for every Italian mill on this floor. The first is the wool: this is 100% fine wool — Super 110s — with the Super number and the mill’s name printed on the selvedge, where you can read them. The second is design. Biella is where Italian worsted cloth comes from, and the Italian mills are known for the way they draw a stripe or set a check as much as for the fibre. A Raymond length is Indian-made cloth with the price on the label; a Vitale Barberis Canonico length is Italian cloth, chosen by hand and priced when you ask. Both are on the same shelf.
We have kept Vitale Barberis Canonico since 2021, and every metre of it is bought directly from the company. We say this plainly because counterfeit “VBC” cloth exists in the market. Ours carries the mill’s selvedge and mill mark, and we will unroll the bolt and show you both before you buy.
We do not print a rate on Vitale Barberis Canonico. The bunch is on our shelf and sold by the metre; send us the design name and the length you need on WhatsApp and we will send the rate the same day, or come and handle it.
Every design on this page opens on its own page with the cloth shown made up, and you can put it on yourself in the AI Studio before you decide.
Mittal & Sons is a Raymond wholesaler and retailer. The Italian and imported mills are purely retail — we do not sell them wholesale: cloth bought directly from the company, sold by the metre to you, and tailored here if you want it made. Width is 58 inches (147 cm); we cut the exact length for your garment when you confirm. How much cloth for each garment →
