Loro Piana is the one Italian mill in this shop whose name needs no introduction, and the cloth earns it. It is 100% fine wool — finer-fibre than anything in the Raymond range, which shows as a lighter cloth with a cleaner drape — from a house known as much for its designs as for its fibre. Raymond is on the same shelf with its price on the label; Loro Piana is chosen by hand and priced when you ask.
Authentic, and bought directly from the company
Every Loro Piana length here is bought directly from the company. The name is on the selvedge because it can be; we will show you the selvedge and the mill mark in store. Where we cannot name a mill, we say “imported” and leave it at that — our note on how to tell the difference is in the Journal.
